Event Roundup: Homearama Events for October 9 - 17

Homearama® Lifestyle Edition is fully in motion at Union Village! In addition to the 11 gorgeous new homes to visit in a charming new community, there’s also a full calendar of fun events. There’s something for everyone: special programs for kids, free admission for military personnel on appreciation day, football tailgating fun, adoptable pets and more. Find your favorite and start planning your visit. Here’s the roundup of events for week 2 of Homearama Lifestyle Edition.

Saturday, October 9

Come root for the Buckeyes at our Tailgate Party for the OSU vs. Maryland game starting at 12 p.m.

Enjoy food trucks from Lilia’s Outside Cafe and Dirty Dawgs & Fries from 12-4 p.m then Smokin Inferno BBQ and Taco Oso from 4-8 p.m. Listen to music and win prizes with WGRR’s Janeen Coley from 2-4 p.m. Get your groove on with Cryin’ Out Loud Band from 4-8 p.m.

Sunday, October 10

Bring the kids for Kids’ Construction Day from 12-4 p.m. Kids’ Construction Day is an opportunity to expose students kindergarten through 8th grade throughout the region to the skilled trades with prizes given away for completing the various activities of the day. Prizes include HBA Dayton drawstring bags, Amazon gift cards and multiple grand prizes including iPads and three $1,000 awards contributed to a student’s 529 college savings plan on behalf of the HBA.

We’ll showcase how to use tools and equipment for the construction truck-loving kid in your life. The event ties the craftsmanship on display at Homearama® and the passion for building, tinkering and creating to the power of the skilled trades. Regional partners and members of the HBA of Dayton will be on-site to engage students with hands-on learning of some basics of the skilled trades, while exploring the possibilities of the trades.

Be there for the kickoff of our Tailgate Party for the Cincinnati Bengals vs. Green Bay Packers game and the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Denver Broncos game at 1 p.m. Food trucks will be on site all day: What the Taco and Dew’s BBQ and Shakes from 12-4 p.m. and Dirty Dawgs & Fries from 4-8 p.m.

Tuesday, October 12

Join us for Military Appreciation Day presented by Big Sandy’s Superstore and Kitchens.Inspired from 4-8 p.m. Home Builders Association of Dayton is providing free admission to Homearama® for military personnel who show their military ID. Alongside, Planes Moving & Storage will be on-site collecting clothing for Disabled American Veterans and individuals can get in free with a clothing donation.

Wednesday, October 13

Visit with some furry friends from SISCA Pet Adoption and Wellness Center looking for a fur-ever home from 4-8 p.m.

Friday, October 15

Bring the whole family for Family Game Night from 4-8 p.m. Enjoy a live DJ and yard games.

Food trucks from T’s Heavenly Taste and Taco Oso will also be on site from 4-8 p.m.

Saturday, October 16

Test your taste at our Street Fair/Taste of Warren County from 12-8 p.m. This event will promote local entrepreneurs, crafters and vendors.

Enjoy food trucks Rolling Oasis from 12-4 p.m. and Childer’s Chimney Case from 4-8 p.m. Eyes Up Here Band will be performing 12-4 p.m.

Sunday, October 17

Bring the kids and get scary at Homearama for Trick or Treat from 12-8 p.m. with pumpkin giveaways! Cheer on your favorite NFL team during our Tailgate Party for the Cincinnati Bengals vs. Detroit Lions game at 1 p.m. and the Cleveland Browns vs. Arizona Cardinals game at 4:05 p.m.

Fill up on snacks from food trucks Dirty Dawgs & Fries from 12-4 p.m. and Rolling Oasis from 4-8 p.m.
