CHARLES SIMMS DEVELOPMENT

In 1957, Charles V. Simms started Charles Simms Development taking after his father, Alex Simms, a major builder, and developer in the Miami Valley. Charles built many homes and also found his niche in a condo building. As a 3rd generation builder, Charles H. Simms came to work for his father in 1983 and purchased the company in 1996. Charlie has built over 2,200 homes in his career, innovating the standard of homes built in the Miami Valley.
Charlie Simms is also known for his successful path of building in downtown Dayton and other urban areas. By 2020, Simms had added 118 townhomes to downtown Dayton, including some of the most expensive homes to be built in the downtown area, called Monument Walk.
Robi Simms, a 4th generation builder started with the team in 2015 and is now the company’s Vice President. Recently, Robi’s younger brother, Crosby Simms has joined the team as a field superintendent. Robi and Crosby plan on continuing the Simms promise of Quality Comes First.

Jason Schmidt Owner and President of Second Story Homes has been building homes since 1992 after graduating with a degree in Construction Management and Real Estate. Over the past 30 years, Jason and his team of subcontractors have built custom homes around the greater Cincinnati area from Anderson to Clarksville to Northern Kentucky from single-family homes to family compounds. Jason welcomed his wife Melissa into the business who now works with their clients on coordination of selections and design. Melissa and Jason both with their real estate licenses are a bonus to their clients when they need to sell their current home during the process of construction.
